In July 2002, George B. Boedecker Jr. an entrepreneur from Colorado, founded Crocs shoes. Originally, a shoe made to be worn on boats because of it’s waterproof material and non-slip soles.

Boedecker sold his first pair of Crocs shoes in November 2002 at a boat show in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a matter of fact, they were a big hit, he sold 200 pairs. By 2007, revenue had risen to $847 million.

Crocs are a unique fun shoe. Styles range from a variety of seasonal clogs, to sandals, shoes, flip flops, and even boots.
